Hello and welcome. My name is Debbie Andrews. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and supervisor in Devon, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I have a degree in Psychology and regularly attend continuing professional development courses. I have worked with a wide range of ages and issues including anxiety, bereavement, depression, disability, domestic violence, LGBTQ, low self esteem, school issues, self harm, young people and adolescents.
Sometimes life can be overwhelming and it's good to talk about what's going on with someone who isn't a friend or a family member and who won't tell you what to do or judge you. I work with my clients to help them find their own answers; to understand what is going on for them. It is often through confidentially talking through their situation that clients begin to understand what they are thinking or feeling. One of my aims is to explore healthy ways of coping as well as looking at things that have happened in the past. It is my belief that while counselling can't change your circumstances it can help with how you react to them and give you choices and control. I work from a cosy studio in my garden in Dartmoor, Devon where you will be assured of a warm, quiet, comfortable and confidential space.
Please contact me if you would like some help and we can explore whether counselling from me may be of benefit to you through a free introductory session. For more information on my sessions, how I approach them and prices, please visit my approach page. |
