About Debbie Andrews – Counsellor in
Leominster, Herefordshire

Hi, I’m Debbie Andrews, a qualified counsellor based in Leominster, Herefordshire. I’m in my fifties, married to an enthusiastic agricultural expert, and proud to have three wonderful children and an amazing grandson!

My passion for understanding people and how we relate to one another has been with me for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals of all ages (from 10 to 85), through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, bereavement, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, self-esteem struggles, school-related difficulties, self-harm, and more. My background in agriculture has also given me a unique perspective on the pressure and stress within farming communities, something I understand first-hand.

My counselling journey began over 35 years ago when I worked on the Cerebral Palsy Helpline for Scope. I supported families with a range of queries, from newly diagnosed parents seeking guidance, to those looking for information about benefits. Before becoming a counsellor, I gained valuable customer service experience in the retail industry, and later worked with children and young people in various educational settings.

I am a committed Christian and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and I adhere to their ethical guidelines (BACP membership number: 185851). I am also a member of the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC) and hold a degree in Psychology. I am dedicated to my professional growth, regularly attending continuing development courses to stay current in the field.

Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, grief, or other life challenges, I’m here to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore what’s going on for you. If you’d like to find out more about how I work or arrange a free introductory session, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
