About Debbie
I am in my fifties and married with 3 amazing children. We have a lively border terrier, lots of bantam hens and live in a beautiful part of Devon on the edge of Dartmoor.
I've always been interested in people and how we relate to each other and have observed what a difference our behaviour can have on others. I have worked with a wide range of ages from 10 to 85 and issues including anxiety, bereavement, depression, disability, domestic violence, LGBTQ, low self esteem, school issues, self harm, young people and adolescents. I also have an agricultural background and have witnessed first-hand the amount of pressure the industry is under. My first counselling experience was over 25 years ago on the Cerebral Palsy Helpline for Scope. Calls ranged from parents who had just found out their child had cerebral palsy to information requests on benefits. Prior to that I had great customer service training through the retail industry and this was extended while working with children and young people in various forms of education. |
"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up"

I am committed christian and an active member of a small church in the town in which I live.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (registration number: 185851) and abide by their code of ethics. I also have a degree in Psychology and regularly attend continuing professional development courses. |
